About cheekyscene photography

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” ~ Aaron Siskind

I am usually running specials on session fees and prints - contact me for details!

what to wear

Avoid logos, characters or large print.  Classic clothing will be timeless and is less distracting from the subject.

Dare to be bold.  Deep purples, reds, greens and oranges make for rich and vibrant photos.

Feel free to wear beautiful jewelry and coordinated bags. bring along lovely pillows to lounge on.  Wear colorful scarves and hats.  Bring favorite toys, blankets, etc.  these little details will create a memorable and unique portrait.

A smile!  This is the most important thing to wear. Being relaxed, laid back, having fun (or even pretending to, if things aren’t going as you hoped) will show more in the portraits than the finest of clothing.  Laugh, joke, jump around, be silly and have FUN.  Those things are what we want to capture and the rest will follow naturally.

Your session should reflect your style, and the above suggestions will help bring a timeless feel to your photographs.

Simple is best. Avoid clothing with wording, numbering, characters or logos.  Feel free to bring multiple outfits.  For family and group photos, it is best to wear coordinating colors (this does not mean that everyone has to match!)

When in doubt, solid tops and denim bottoms are always a nice, classic choice.
